A new year. A blank canvas. A fresh start. I know for many of us (myself included) the opportunity to shed last year’s worries and begin again is inviting. It’s a chance to let go of what no longer serves us, and open ourselves to new opportunities.

This love story goes all the way back to middle school! Alyssa and Kevin faintly knew each other in that awkward, brace face, 6th grade stage at Discovery middle school.

Our story begins in Arlington, TX. Our beautiful bride, Megan, works for GM and as her position advanced, she was asked to leave Michigan and relocate at the Texas branch. She happily agreed, not knowing how much this new path would change her future!

Here in Michigan we have this concept called “up north”. A phrase that instantly gives us Michiganders that hit of dopamine because up north translates to - summer vacation up on the beautiful lakeshores of Northern Michigan.

Taking portraits of the bridesmaids is one of my favorite parts of the day. The gowns, the flowers, the BRIDE. It’s all so glamorous!

It was the perfect, breezy summer evening for Bella + Jay’s engagement session. A light rain fell in the afternoon, cooling everything down and giving the summer blooms a nice drink!

Megan was envisioning a dreamy summer sunset at the beach for her engagement photos… so we ran with it!
