Megan + Eric | A Whimsical Wildflower Wedding At The St. Clair Inn

This story begins in Arlington, TX. Our beautiful bride, Megan, works for GM and as her position advanced, she was asked to leave Michigan and relocate at the Texas branch. She happily agreed, not knowing how much this new path would change her future!

Waiting in Texas, also unknowingly, was our groom, Eric. A fellow GM employee transplanted from Michigan. After long work days in the Texas heat, several of the GM employees would head out to dinner together. As Megan and Eric were both traveling employees miles from family and friends, they happily attended the work dinners to wind down from the day. Two, maybe three dinners later, and a natural attraction grew between them, so much so that they found themselves going to dinner just them two!

Of course, they kept their relationship a secret for many years, and one does when you fall for a coworker, but fell happily in love none the less. Eric asked Megan to be his girlfriend on New Years Eve of that year, and their relationship began to grow roots from there. Soon Megan moved back to Michigan, and three months later Eric followed, and so began their beautiful future together in their home state closer to family and friends.

Their wedding day was a delightfully warm summer day in August. Surrounded by all of their loved ones, Megan and Eric were glowing. The sun was shining through the pockets of clouds, and the breeze was cool and refreshing off the St. Clair River beside us. So many heartfelt memories were shared between Megan and her parents in the morning, and Eric was cool and stoic all afternoon. It was truly a magical day shared between two people truly meant for each other.

Megan + Eric… our time together has left such an impression on my heart. Thank you for inviting me into your home for our engagement session. I didn’t think it could get any better than that, but then your wedding day came and I was just speechless. I’m so grateful for you both, and appreciate how warm and welcome your families made me feel throughout the entire process.
