MEET THE WOMAN BEHIND THE CAMERA

Hello!

I'm Madison, or as my mom calls me, Mademoiselle.

I’ve always believed that nature holds a kind of quiet magic—a healing power that gently seeps into the soul. There’s something deeply nourishing about the sun’s golden touch on your skin, or the way a breath of fresh air can steady your heart. When I’m out beneath the open sky, I feel completely renewed, as if Mother Nature herself is leaning in to whisper, “Slow down, babe. Enjoy the moment.”

It’s from this place of reverence and wonder that Light Garden Photography was born. What began as a simple vision has grown into a heartfelt offering—a space where people can gather with loved ones, soak in the beauty of the natural world, and lose themselves in the sweet stillness of the present moment.

Life moves in the blink of an eye—the whirlwind of your wedding day, the ever-changing rhythm of growing little ones, and the tender, everyday moments that quietly become our most cherished memories. Through the timeless magic of film, my hope is to help you hold onto those fleeting fragments of bliss—so that whenever your heart longs to wander back, the memories are waiting, ready to welcome you home.

ABOUT MADISON:

  • I’m a glass half full kind of gal, always drawn to the light and beauty in life.

  • My perfect morning starts with snuggle with my daughter, an energizing yoga flow as the early light spills in, and a warm vanilla latte to get the juices flowing.

  • My curls? They’re my war paint. Big hair, don’t care—when my waves are full of life, I feel like I can take on the world!

  • Most of my days are spent with my loving husband, Jason, chasing after our beautiful baby girl, Vivian. Our home is filled with music from the piano, playful moments amidst the wildlife in our backyard, and the smells of home cooked meals filling the kitchen.

  • In my free time, you’ll find me lost in creativity—tinkering with macrame, mixing candles, trying my hand at watercolor, tending to our flower garden, and, above all, pouring my heart into being the best wife and mama I can be.

I’M A(N):

Wife, girl mom, Aries, extrovert, dancing queen, neat freak, yogi, animal lover, optimist, giver of hugs + singer of catchy songs.

THINGS I LIKE:

Milkshakes, springtime, electronic music, art nouveau, punchy comedy, nature walks, crafternoons + movies with happy endings.

THINGS I DON’T:

Clutter, roundabouts, glitter, awkward silences, mushrooms, long lines, shower curtains + uncomfortable shoes.

I believe a portrait is more than just an image—it’s a glimpse into the our soul, a reflection of the love we carry within us. A meaningful photograph lets us relive the moments that matter most, keeping them close long after they’ve gone.

I have a photo of my grandparents hanging on my mirror—a simple snapshot from a grocery run. My grandpa is wrapping my grandma in a loving embrace, and she’s snickering at the camera. Every morning, I’d casually glance at it and think, ‘They’re so cute—I can’t wait to see them at Christmas.’

It wasn’t until they passed and the sad reality hit that they would no longer be joining us for Christmas, that I truly understood the power of a photograph—the way it becomes a window to relive the warmth and love of those we miss. That realization forever changed my perspective of what it means to be a photographer, and how truly priceless the images we create become for people.

Now, when I capture newlyweds celebrating with loved ones young and old, I do so with a deep appreciation for what these moments will mean years from now. Photography isn’t just about images—it’s about preserving the love, joy, and connection people hold dearest.
