Oh the first look. A popular topic tossed back and fourth by all couples planning a wedding. Should we do it so we don’t ugly cry in front of everyone we know and love? Should we not so we don’t rob the groom of that unforgettable moment of seeing his bride walk down the aisle?

As I take my own plunge into marriage, I’ve started feeling out where I’d like to host my big day. It’s an overwhelming task to say the least… and I’m a wedding professional! It was a lovely summer afternoon when I met Sarah + Jonathan. We sat outside a coffee shop and chatted about flowers and our mutual love for the freshwater coast of Lake Michigan. Sarah’s eyes sparkled a little when she began telling me all about their vision to plan a winter wedding out in Grand Haven to honor Jonathan’s Mother.
