Lauren + David | An Elegant Riverside Wedding At St. Clair Inn

This love story begins on a late September day over dinner at Crispelli’s Bakery & Pizzeria. Lauren will tell you she had a truly awful day, which left her frazzled and rushing to meet David for dinner. She arrived late and embarrassed, praying the evening would be a little easier on her than the morning. David, our handsome groom to be, greeted her with compassion and understanding, and was truly the soft landing Lauren needed. Their date went off without a hitch with delicious food and great conversation, and so their love story began…

Fast forward a year or so, to a blistering hot Michigan summer day in August. David had planned a day to “hang out” on Belle Isle with some of their friends and family. Little did Lauren know, he had an engagement ring secretly tucked in his pocket. When they arrived at the Belle Isle Conservatory to meet everyone, Lauren was puzzled that no one was actually there. She turned to ask David about it, to find him on his knee in front of the stunning glass walls of the Conservatory! After she of course said yes, David explained that all their friends and family were actually at their house awaiting the good news to celebrate!

Lauren and David tied the knot at the lovely St. Clair Inn right on the waterfront. It was a warm, sunny day in June with the most refreshing breeze from the river. Their personal vow exchange prior to the ceremony was so touching, and the waterfront ceremony warmed the hearts of all of their loved ones in the crowd. It was a truly special day!
