6 Must Have Poses With Your Bridesmaids

As much as a wedding day is about the bride and the groom, it’s equally about the couple’s family and friends. It’s a chance to doll up and throw down with the people you love most in this world, the closest of which you’ve gifted the honor of being in your wedding party.

I speak from my own heart when I say, my girlfriends are rare and precious gems in my life. Most of us fifteen years in the making. We have been through many phases together: bad haircuts, college boyfriends, spring breaks, career changes, weddings, childbirths… and though we may not share blood, we most certainly share a sisterhood.

So today let’s take a moment to highlight the ladies in your life. Your warriors. Your sisters from another mister, with these six must have poses for you and your bridesmaids.

  1. The Sex And The City

  2. The Cinderella

  3. The Mad Men

  4. The Cheek To Cheek

  5. The Sorority Sister

  6. The Cover Of Bridesmaids

Scroll down for a look at each one. Drop a line and let me know which one is your favorite!

The Sex And The City

Think Carry Bradshaw in her New York City apartment, on a Sunday morning, in satin pajamas and fuzzy heals. A literal dream.

The Cinderella

The beloved Disney Princess and her fuzzy friends helping her get ready for the ball where she’ll meet her Prince Charming. Have all your girls pick an area to to give a little fluff from your head to your toes.

The Mad Men

A clean, Mid-Century look that should be in every portfolio. Have everyone stand tall for their full body shot. Don’t forget to relax their shoulders, and drop your weight in that hip that’s furthest from the camera.

The Cheek To Cheek

A great way to give each bridesmaid their moment with a little individual attention and love! It will be a great photo to use to wish them a Happy Birthday!

And there you have it! Six bridesmaid poses you simply MUST try on your wedding day!

The Soroity Sister

This is a great pose to highlight those smiles. Have all your maids stand with their feet close together, then lean their faces in as cozy as they can. PRO TIP for photographers - instruct the girls to “shine from their heart” so they open those crunchy shoulders.

The Cover Of Bridesmaids

For a little sass, pose with your girls back to back. Some bouquets up, some pointed down. Some hands on our hips, and plenty of attitude!
