When I made the bold choice to turn my passion for photographer into a career, I had to make the transition from doing it as a hobby to doing it as a means to make money. Starting a business isn’t all it’s cracked up to be sometimes. It takes time, dedication, and a LOT of elbow grease.

For a while there I was so engrossed in the business side of things… that I almost never picked up my camera for fun. I had this heavy realization one day thinking, ‘I can’t even remember the last time I took a photo just as a maker, and not as a business owner.”

So… I sat down at my desk over my journal, and came up with an idea! I would gather a group of awesome wedding creatives, feed them snacks, and create an environment where we could all be creative just for creative sake!

And it was A-MA-ZING! I’m so creatively refreshed, and smitten to be building community with other wedding creatives in Detroit. We all put our heads together and collaborated on this colorful + cozy, autumn bridal photoshoot. It’s a botanical bride’s dream! Check it out!
