Tracey + Jacob | An Farmhouse Wedding In Northern MI
Oh goodness… a tug of the ‘ole heart strings coming your way in this blog!
I have a younger brother named Connor. He’s a big boy engineer now, engaged to be married, and about start a family of his own. But to me… he’ll always be my bouncing baby bro. He literally made me pull my hair out with a battery-powered fan once, but even so he’s most precious to me. We often reminisce about our schooldays together, and the shenanigans we used to get into - most of which included our groom (omg. what?), Jacob Zawaski.
Jacob + Connor were best buds all throughout high school, and well after graduation. Our families have kept in touch over the years, and when I heard Jacob was getting married, my heart filled with that eye-welling, big sister pride.
After high school Jacob was working at Riverbank Golf Course, where he laid eyes on his future bride, Tracey. They had met briefly in high school, but became reacquainted during their summer at Riverbank. They fell madly in love each sunny day on the golf course, and eventually moved out to Breckenridge, CO together!
Jacob had been planning on proposing to Tracey in the company of their families on a weekend back home in Michigan. He had a romantic, outdoor proposal all planned, but the weather was totally against him - it rained all weekend! He ended up taking a knee in the family garage, which in my opinion, is just as romantic!
Then, off they went! Planning an outdoorsy, mountain chic, marriage nuptialI. A delightful, farmhouse affair on the northern shoreline of Lake Michigan. I’d say they nailed it but don’t take my word for it… take a look below!
