Lauren + Joe | A Chic Modern Wedding At The Detroit Historical Museum
Oh Lauren + Joe where to even begin... being your wedding photographer is something I will cherish for many wedding seasons to come. You two are wonderful, your families are wonderful, your wedding was even more wonderful than I imagined it would be... thank you so much for inviting me to join, and may this be the beginning of a wonderful friendship!
Lauren + Joe's story began in Birmingham, MI as an office friendship. For 2 years these two bantered around work, determined not to be 'that couple' in the office. Over time their friendship grew closer based on their mutual love for music, and one weekend they ventured down to Chicago for a Disclosure concert. Still determined to be friends, they even got a hotel room with TWO BEDS! But as we all know, music brings dance moves to our hips and love to our hearts! After the concert, Lauren finally realized her true feelings for Joe... and the rest is history!
There was a time when Lauren + Joe lived in New York together. Though difficult to be away from family and friends, it was a beautiful window for them to grow closer as a couple. So close in fact, that Joe decided to put a ring on it one winter afternoon at the Rockefeller Ice Rink! High Five Joe!
After much anticipation, the wedding day came! I opened my eyes, peered out my window and saw a perfect October morning. The sun was shining, the trees were turning marvelous shades of gold and orange, and crisp fall vibes were in the air! I met the bridal party at The Inn on Ferry Street, which is a historical hotel here in Detroit. A spectacular place to kick off the day! I couldn't even take photos fast enough everything was so beautiful!! Soon after we made our way to the Detroit Historical Museum for the ceremony and reception. We laughed, we cried, we photoed, and WE GOT MARRIED!
Lauren + Joe... thank you. It was an honor to be a part of your wedding. I appreciate you both for trusting me to photograph your day, and for being such marvelous clients. I hope you both love your photos and look back on them fondly throughout the years of your marriage. You two deserve the world and more!
