Amanda + Ryan | A Theater Inspired Wedding At The Detroit Opera House
"All the world's a stage" for lovers, Amanda + Ryan. Their story began in high school drama club when Ryan, working hard backstage, spotted Amanda's beauty shining in the spotlight. They flirted their way through puberty until Amanda's senior year, when the two decided to embark on a journey of, "okay world we're officially a couple!"
The two remained inseparable, making memories and being disgustingly cute for 11 years! After much anticipation from family and friends, Ryan proposed to Amanda during a romantic getaway to Chicago on their way to a live performance. Yay Ryan!
And so the wedding planning begun! Amanda and I met for coffee and it was love at first photo. I was lucky enough to get to hang out with Amanda + Ryan during our spring engagement photoshoot too, and get a sense of their vibes. These two are the real deal people! Cuddly, cute, and totally in love!
The morning of their wedding was the perfect October day in Michigan. Cloudy, autumn vibes filled the air, and the leaves turning magnificent shades of yellow and orange. The bride and groom planned to say 'I do' at the Detroit Opera Theater (had to be amiright?) where I began my day. We had fun photoing around with details and dresses, tie clips and groomasaurus socks, and set ourselves up for a rooftop first look! The ceremony, written by Amanda herself, was also a delight of jokes, laughter, and happy tears! The day continued smooth and wonderful for everyone involved. After the ceremony we made our way to the Colony Club for the evenings celebrations! I had no doubt the show would go on as we got ready to announce the new Mr. + Mrs! We ate cake, we sipped the signature cocktails, Amanda sang a secret song to her beloved Groom, and we danced away the night!
Amanda + Ryan... thank you a million times over for inviting me to photograph your wedding. Working with clients like you is a dream come true. Your wedding was truly a marvelous production full of romance, laughter and industrial flair. I appreciate everything you did for me leading up to the wedding, and on the wedding day! You guys were stupid in love and it absolutely shows in your gallery! I sincerely hope you love you photos forever and everrrrr!
