Maddie + Tyler | A Mid Summer Golden Hour Engagement Session
The golden-hour glow of Maddie and Tyler’s engagement session couldn’t have been more fitting—it mirrored the warmth they radiate both as individuals and as a couple. These two are some of the kindest souls, surrounded by so much love from their family and friends, and that same spirit spills right into their home, where our session began. Their beautifully renovated farmhouse—one of the original homes on their street—is a true labor of love and a stunning reflection of their chic yet rustic style.
I was greeted by their two gentle giants, Brodie and Bane, and welcomed so warmly into their home. We eased into the evening over a glass of wine, and it was such a joy to see Maddie and Tyler light up together in their own space.
From there, we made our way to the Bloomfield Township Fire Department to honor their shared story as first responders. Maddie serves as a firefighter/paramedic, and Tyler as a police officer—and together they are the very definition of a power couple! They met in the line of duty, fell in love, and now are building such a beautiful life together. I can honestly say it was my first time using a ladder truck as a prop in a photoshoot, and it was freaking awesome!
We wrapped the evening at a quiet little barn tucked away in the fields of southeast Michigan, where we were blessed with the most breathtaking golden sunset. It was a truly magical way to end such a meaningful day.
It’s couples like Maddie and Tyler, and sessions like theirs, that fill my heart with so much joy and remind me why this work is such a gift.
Thank you, Maddie and Tyler, for your warmth and glow, and for gifting me this beautiful evening together. I cannot wait to celebrate all the magic still to come at your wedding next June!
