Whitney + Chris | A Romantic Spring Wedding in Northville

For all my spring lovers out there… settle in for the story of Whitney and Chris’s lush and blooming spring wedding day.

Before we smell the roses however, let’s go back to where it all began. Just like Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in You’ve Got Mail, this love story begins - you guessed it - in the inbox! One day Chris’s friend, Thaiphi, gave Chris an email address. Thaiphi told Chris all about his beloved friend Whitney and encouraged him to send her a message. With a little bit of courage and witty banter, Chris drafted up a message and sent off the first email! Whitney wrote just as impressive of a response, and the two continued to email back and fourth for two months before planning a trip to meet. Chris lived in South Carolina at the time, so during his next trip to Michigan he and Whitney met up and damn near spent every day of his trip together! They continued to date long distance for another six months or so… until Whitney made the big decision to move down to South Carolina to be with the man she loved.

Time passed and wedding day soon arrived. It was a day out of a springtime fairytale. The smell of fresh rainfall in the air, the sun peeking warmly though the clouds, and the trees were blooming in beautiful shades of white and green. Perfect day for an outdoor wedding amiright? Both Whitney and Chris were radiating joy and happiness as they made their vows to be together forever.

Whitney + Chris… May I begin with a warm and heartfelt THANK YOU!
