Kathrine + Tyler | A Whimsical Wedding Day At Eastern Market Detroit

Kathrine and Tyler met when they were both living their young professional lives in the colorful city of Ferndale. The had their first date at Imperial - the best taco and margarita place in town. Followed but a night cap at a funky hole in the wall bar called New Way. After their very upbeat date started to wind down, Tyler offered to walk Kathrine home, during which they found out they lived only minutes from each other!

Their first date left them swimming with such hope and happiness, that it was an easy decision to make plans for future dates. Don’t be fooled, however! Kathrine still made Tyler work for that first kiss!

As Tyler so romantically put it, “It was true love after that!” He proposed to Kathrine at the beautiful Sunset Point on Belle Isle, and the wedding planning commenced!

These two planned an absolutely stunning, woodland and whimsical wedding day at the iconic Eastern Market. This building dates back to 1840, making it one of the oldest farmers markets in the United States. It was my first wedding here, and boy did it blow me away! It was airy and tasteful, and simply dripping in historic charm. That in combination with a beautiful and warm September day, it was a wedding day for a fairytale.

Kathrine + Tyler… Thank you for inviting me to be a part of this dream day! It was beautiful to watch all of your hard work and vision come to life in such a stunning way! I had the best time with you and your families, and will cherish the memories made for seasons to come!
