Jessica + Jesse | An Micro Wedding in Birmingham

This story began when our beautiful bride, Jessica, decided to volunteer. She packed her bags and set off for a five month mission trip to Japan. Unbeknown to her, our leading lady would be coming home from Japan with a little more than volunteer experience.

It's every hopeless romantic's favorite love story. Girl travels abroad to make a difference. Girl meets boy in foreign, romantic place. Girl and boy catch feels because how can they not? Girl and boy overcome obstacles, join hands, and live happily ever after.

Jessica + Jesse are just that. Two beautiful souls that met while volunteering, and fell happily in love with each other. Upon returning from their mission trip, Jesse took a knee on Valentine's day during a very romantic date to The Whitney in Midtown Detroit. And so the wedding adventure begins!

It was a sunny day with the crispness of spring in the air. I met Jessica + Jesse at a cute and spacious airbnb in Milford to get ready. We enjoyed a casual morning all together before we set off for the ceremony. Jessica + Jesse planned a relaxed, afternoon wedding followed by lunch at Vinotecca in Birmingham. It was a marvelous day for a marvelous couple.

Jessica + Jesse... thank you both so very much for inviting me to photograph your wedding. It was a treat to get to know you both over the months. Your love shines brightly and I know your marriage will too.
